OSP Data Entry for Telecom Mapping

Job ID: 39492056

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

Experienced Telecom Mapping Specialist – OSP Walkout Data Entry (Freelance, Remote)

---

About the Job

We are looking for a highly experienced freelancer to assist with filling out strand maps based on OSP walkout data we provide. This is not a beginner-friendly job — we’re seeking someone who already understands telecom mapping, strand layouts, amplifier labeling, power supply identification, and typical cable plant structures.

You will receive partially annotated base maps along with photos, field notes, and GPS data. Your task is to accurately update the map with street names, house numbers, equipment labels, and produce a clean companion equipment inventory file.

---

Daily Workflow

We will provide up to 3 maps per day, depending on your capacity and turnaround speed. You must be able to deliver clean, finalized files within 24 hours per map. Accuracy is critical — we expect 99%+ precision based on the field data we supply.

Responsibilities

Update Maps with street names, corrected house addresses, building/unit numbers.

Label Equipment (amplifiers, nodes, power supplies, DCs, etc.) with manufacturer/model info, based on photos and field notes.

Verify Data for consistency across handwritten notes, photos, and base map.

Deliver Files as clean PDFs and in editable format (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD, QGIS, etc.).

Provide Daily Updates with progress and questions if needed.

Requirements

Experience in OSP mapping or telecom walkout data handling (preferably for companies like Spectrum, Comcast, Cox, Frontier, etc.)

Strong knowledge of OSP equipment (e.g., Alpha, Arris, Cisco, CommScope amplifiers, nodes, power supplies)

Software proficiency in one or more: Bluebeam Revu, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, OSPInsight, or similar
