JOB DESCRIPTION
Our analysts are required to develop an in-depth understanding of the granularity of vessel movements while keeping a keen eye on the bigger picture. You will learn how to conduct industry research and implement this knowledge in our database through a variety of tasks including but not limited to online industry research, use of eeSea’s business intelligence tools, data verification through multiple public sources, and the process of reviewing and structuring historical and/or forward-facing vessel movement data.
The information in our database is continuously updated and reflects the mutable nature of the container shipping industry and the enormous amount of variables at play. We need our team members to be proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and a little bit stubborn when it comes to getting results!
SKILLS
As a person you:
- Are proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn.
- Take ownership over tasks assigned to you; drive them to completion on-time and with an assurance of quality.
- Are structured and able to keep up with multiple tasks and timelines, and keep pace with a fast moving startup environment.
- Communicate effectively and fluidly in English; are able to understand and utilize technical terminology used by the rest of the team.
- Are committed to the work and experience for a long period of time; you are not just looking for a short-term project.
- Enjoy working closely with a team of international peers.
- Have your own computer, access to a reliable internet connection, and enough bandwidth to participate in regular Zoom/Microsoft Teams/Google Meet meetings with team members.
- Not required but a plus if you are familiar with Tableau.
- Not required but a plus if you have previous work experience in the transport & logistics industry or in a reputable data-oriented company.
