Project Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable freelancer to clean and enrich a dataset of approximately 2,000 hair and beauty salons. If the quality of work meets our expectations, there will be an opportunity to extend the project to 20,000+ salons.
This project is essential for our sales and marketing operations and accuracy is critical. You’ll be expected to standardise formatting, fill in missing fields, and identify the salon’s current booking system through web research.
Scope of Work:
You will receive a spreadsheet with around 2,000 salon entries. Your job is to:
Clean the Existing Data:
Remove duplicates
Fix inconsistent formatting (names, phone numbers, addresses, etc.)
Enrich the Data by Researching Online:
Website URL
Instagram handle
Email address
Phone number
Full address (including postcode and country)
Service categories (e.g., hair, nails, aesthetics)
Opening hours
Current booking system used (e.g., Fresha, Phorest, Booksy, Timely, etc.)
Source Tracking:
Include a column for the source of the information (e.g., website link or social media page)
Requirements:
Proven experience with data entry and web research
Ability to recognise salon booking platforms and tools
High attention to detail and accuracy
Fluent in English
Comfortable using Google Sheets or Excel
Deliverables:
Fully cleaned and enriched spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets)
Each row updated and completed with as much verified information as possible
A “Notes” column for any uncertainties or assumptions
A “Source” column for reference links
Volume & Opportunity:
Initial project: 2,000 salons
Follow-on project: 20,000+ salons, awarded if initial batch is completed to a high standard
Timeline:
Project must be completed within 5 days of being awarded
