Grant Writer for Women-Owned Startup
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
As a small, women-owned startup in the early revenue stage, I am seeking a seasoned grant writer with a strong track record in securing startup capital. My startup operates as a social program distributor, hence previous experience in this industry would be a significant advantage but most certainly not a must. One thing to NOTE: a fact that I am proud of, this industry has been around a long time, but we have created an application that has no rivals.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in grant writing, specifically for startup capital
- willingness to be educated about this industry by us
- Strong research skills to identify suitable grants
- Excellent writing skills to create compelling grant proposals
- Understanding of the unique challenges faced by women-owned businesses
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Your role will be to:
- Identify relevant grants
- Write and submit grant proposals
- Provide updates on grant application status
- Communicate with grant bodies as necessary

We are seeking assistance in securing funding to advance our startup, GFMC Underdawg Distribution LLC, to the next level. Over the past four years, we have diligently worked in this industry, building a dedicated team across the country and refining our business model. Areas that we would like a grant or grants to cover would be for, payroll, travel cost while and when in the expansion and training stages, payroll, misc.
Currently, our team consists of approximately 50 agents distributed across 15 states, with growth occurring weekly. Formed earlier this year, GFMC Underdawg Distribution LLC is a female-owned and female-led company, with 44 out of our 50 agents being women. We have established strong contracts with several programs and are building a solid foundation with significant momentum.
Funding through grants would greatly benefit our company at this stage. My husband and I have personally funded the business for the past four years and will continue to support it as needed. With our knowledge of grants and confidence in our qualifications, we believe we have the essential elements required for grant eligibility.
Our main office is located in Wichita Falls, Texas, and we have a full staff, including a CFO, CO, and managers. We would greatly appreciate any feedback or guidance you can provide.
