Get Product Images and Product Specification & Installation Documents From Supplier Websites
Budget: $10 – $1,000 CAD
We need to add thousands of products to our ecommerce website. Most of our suppliers do not provide the product images and product documents like specification and installation documents. We need help getting these images and documents from supplier websites.
You will be provided with excel files for each supplier with the full list of product for which to get images and documents
Product Images
1. Product images need to be retrieved from supplier website. It may be possible to get these image files from other websites like distributors but we prefer that they be retrieved directly from supplier website.
2. These images should be in JPG format, and if not need to be converted to JPG format.
3. The dimension of the images need to be square and need to be at least 600 x 600 and no greater than 1000 x 1000.
4. The images need to be named based on the product sku / model #. so the image for a product with sku AZ101CH should be named AZ101CH.jpg.
5. If there are any special characters in the product sku then for naming of image file those special characters should be replaced by underscore so for example a product with sku AZ#101C+ would have a file name of AZ_101C_.jpg
6. The image file name for each product should be recorded in the supplier excel file in a column name 'image'. The filename should be recorded next to the product for each it belongs.
e.g. if the excel file had the following row entry
Product Sku Product Name Finish Image
AZ101CH Faucet Chrome AZ101CH.jpg
7. If the image on the supplier website already meets the criteria of size (between 600x600 and 1000x1000) and JPG format, then it will be enough to just provide the image url e.g. https://examplesuppliersite.com/AZ101CH.jpg in the excel file. In this case the image doesn't need to be saved. If the images do not meet size and format criteria mentioned above, then the images should be saved and converted.
8. We will require the excel file with the filenames for images alongside the product sku as mentioned in requirement #6 above, along with the actual image files. We will provide a shared onedrive folder for you to upload to. Otherwise if you are providing image URLs based on requirement #7, then we would only need the excel file with the URLs alongside the products skus.

Most products for a supplier will have one or more product documents including specification, installation and any other types of documents. Each supplier is different. For each supplier we will indicate which document we require. These documents will be available on the product page for each product on the supplier website.
More details regarding the product documents will be provided to the successful candidates.
These images and documents will be required for thousands of products (likely over 30,000) and from more than 40 suppliers (websites). We are unsure at this time how to budget for this work, we ask candidates to propose a rate based on number of products (e.g. $$ for every 1000's products). Speed and accuracy are critical for this work. We would also like to know from candidates how quickly they can deliver (e.g. if you say $$ for every 1000's products then also indicate how long it will take to deliver 1000 products of images and documents in hours / days etc..)
We will ask the successful candidate to send a sample of 1 to 5 products at the beginning to ensure that we are getting the correct images and documents with the expected quality and image format and resolution.
