Film Analysis

Analyze a feature film that has been written and produced outside of the United States and is set in another country, for example, a “French” film or a “Chinese” film. The movie that you choose should be set in a country that you are not familiar with, and have no ties to. Unless the film is set in, for instance, England or Australia, the film must be in another language and it will need to have English subtitles. The purpose is to observe the cultural context, values, behaviors, interactions between people, and ways of communicating in the film, based on some of the concepts we have learned in class. The movie you choose can be a comedy, romance, adventure, thriller, historical, or whatever you prefer.

You will write three pages analysis (double-spaced, one-inch margins, 12-point font) of the movie.
