I’m trying to automate the Navy’s pilot qualification program in excel. Their syllabus has exact days of training where they should complete simulator events and flight events. I want to be able to input a start day for a class (7 total classes) and excel place the required simulator number of x’s and flight x’s on an automated corresponding calendar.
I started trying to figure this out. I’m stuck trying to figure out a macro that will automatically allow my calendar to adjust to months with less than 31 days or how to get the X’s to automatically populate on the calendar.
In the attachment, the first tab is more for data. Class start dates are what’s important there and if you scroll down I created a chart that lists everyday of their syllabus training period.
Tab 2 is the important data as it is the syllabus Simulator and flight events. Row 3 is the actual event, row 2 defines if it’s a SIM or Flight. Row 4 is hours that event should take. Row 6 is the day of training that event should happen and is what I’m trying to automate on a calendar based on start dates. Row 7 is number of x’s each day requires. I want that number to fall on the calendar (tab 3) and be multiplied by number of students in a class. Our fiscal year is October to September and I want this to be something I can use every year. Starting on line 11 is each actual class and the x’s they have. I’d love to automate that somehow based on the x’s I put in to the calendar (the right calendar on tab 3, completed x’s).
I’m sure this explanation probably will bring more questions as it’s tough to explain this way.
