Excel Macro Project
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
Hi there, I have a project that requires a lot of data to be run through a calculator to create approximately 1200 reports by June 30.
By way of background:
- Approximately 1200 schools have had their lighting upgraded.
- Each school has approximately 50-100 "rooms".
- Each room typically has 1 type of light, but may have multiple types of light.
- I will shortly have a spreadsheet which contains approx. 120,000 rows of data.
- Each line of data has approx. 10 variables - space name, floor area, wattage of lamps, use type etc.
- I need the data for each school (~1200) to be run through the attached IPD Calculator.
- The columns in the raw data will match the input fields in the IPD Calculator - with the exception of the IPD calculator header fields (3 = Building Name/description, Classification, Number of rows preferred in table below).
- For each school, I require a stand alone Excel file with the data completed and the name of the school in the file name - for eg "IPD Report - Carlton Public School".
- Note there is a slight data mis-match between the raw data (each row is 1 lamp type) versus the IPD calculator (where each row represents 1 room), since there may be more than 1 lamp type per room. Thus, the first step in the project would be to massage the raw data such that each row in the raw data represents 1 room rather than just 1 lamp type. I can provide more guidance if required.
- I would also like a single file which contains a summary report for all ~1200 schools which shows the two total figures contained in Cells I525 and V525 and the conclusion reported in cell W527.
- Due to the size of the data, file transfer will be via dropbox.
This is an urgent job and must be completed by June 30, so do not reply if you cannot meet that timeline. Data will be provided by Monday 26 June. In order to filter out any replies that have not read this project description, please include the word "kangeroo" in your reply header.
