Excel or Google Sheets automation

I don't know if what I am looking for would work better with Excel or with Google sheets  but am trying to automate (as much as possible) an Excel sheet I use for quoting, booking and paying musicians for recording sessions. I have enclosed the sheet that I use for each project. There are a lot of things I would ultimately like to do but the biggest thing is automating the booking of musicians. The process would work like this: - Enter company and project info at top - Enter the number of players needed for each section (Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Other) and the total number of hours they are needed for.
