We're running a founding pilot for a countertop hardware device used by cafés, QSRs, and high-traffic retail storefronts. We need a local rep to visit pre-qualified small businesses in Portland, pitch the pilot to the owner/manager, and get the device placed and powered on.
Scope of work:
- Visit business owners/managers in person (we provide a target list of 10-15 leads to work through)
- Present the pilot offer using materials we supply (one-pager + short pitch script)
- Secure agreement and get device placed in-store
- Power on and confirm device is running (plug-and-play, no technical setup required)
- Send photo confirmation + business contact details for each placement
Deliverable: 5 businesses with device placed and confirmed active.
Requirements:
- Based in or near Portland, able to travel to business locations
- Comfortable with in-person cold outreach to business owners
- Reliable communication — daily updates via chat/text
- No technical skill needed beyond plugging in a device
Payment structure: $600 total, released via milestone — $120 per confirmed placement, paid as each is verified. First milestone released after placement #1 is confirmed.
Good fit if you've done retail merchandising, canvassing, field sales, or similar local rep work before. Ongoing work possible if this pilot expands to your city.
