Convert electoral count dataset from PDFs to GeoJson
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have a spatial dataset of electoral counts for my home city. It is a set of pdf documents, one per polling station. Sadly the data format is pretty pedantic so I need help turning this into a standardized streamlined dataset of geojsons which I can use to run my analysis.
I will provide specific, easy-to-follow instructions on how to read each document and create a geojson. There are only about 300 documents and I estimate each document to take approx 3-5 minutes to process, so this is a relatively small task. But there is a prospect for more work in the future, so I'm looking for someone with whom I can build a good working relationship. Prior experience working with geojsons/GIS is desirable but not mandatory.
Mandatory qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand Gujarati, since the documents are in Gujarati.
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience using QGIS or any GIS software.
