Catalog & Sell Church Music Archives
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a sizeable collection of American church music—especially Southern Gospel songbooks, loose sheet music, and hymnals—that I need to bring back into circulation. The goal is two-fold: turn part of the archive into cash and find good homes for pieces that are better suited for donation.
Here is what I need from you:
• Build a clear, searchable catalog (spreadsheet or database) that captures title, composer/arranger, publisher, year, condition, and any notable historical details.
• Photograph or scan covers and key pages so online buyers can judge condition.
• Create well-structured listings on eBay and other niche music-score marketplaces you recommend, using sensible keywords for Southern Gospel and traditional hymnody.
• Handle the full sales workflow—pricing, responding to questions, packing, and shipping—while tracking costs and proceeds.
• Identify items unlikely to sell and coordinate donations to churches, libraries, or archives, making sure I receive proper donation receipts.
Acceptance criteria
1. Catalog delivered in Excel or Google Sheets, fully searchable and free of duplicates.
2. At least 50 items listed online in the first week, following eBay Seller Hub best practices.
3. Clear record of sold, donated, and remaining inventory updated weekly.
If you are familiar with choral repertoire, hymnology, or vintage sheet-music markets, you will move to the top of my list. Let me know about similar projects you have completed and any specialized sites you’d like to use in addition to eBay.
