Business Development Specialist for Disability Consulting Services

I am seeking a Business Development Specialist who can identify and research potential partner vendors listed in the BC and Federal Government's procurement directories. The role involves pinpointing vendors that provide accessibility services, such as video captioning and sign language interpretation, which are complementary to our consulting offerings. The specialist will evaluate these vendors to determine potential collaboration or contracting opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Access British Columbia and Federal Government procurement databases to extract a list of vendors offering specific accessibility services.

Assess each vendor's service offerings to determine compatibility with our consulting goals, particularly in enhancing Deaf accessibility.

Compile a comprehensive list of potential partner vendors, including detailed contact information and a strategic rationale for initiating contact.

Provide a final report that includes potential business opportunities, alignment with our services, and recommended action points for collaboration or contracting.

Ensure that all vendor information is current, accurate, and relevant to our business needs.
Requirements:

Demonstrated ability in business development, market research, or a related field.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills to effectively assess vendor services against our consultancy's objectives.

Previous experience navigating government procurement systems is highly desirable.

Compensation:

This is a contract position with payment issued upon delivery of the comprehensive vendor list and analysis report.
