Build me a Opportunities & sales funnel using existing potential client data at hand

I am looking for a sales funnel which can effectively and efficiently help me track opportunities from start to finish. I need something simple but yet very effective. I do have a list of database of current potential clients which will need to be incorporated into this funnel for regular followups and updates.
