Art Auctions – data entry – regular work
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
We have a database of about 2,400 artists and we are always looking to see if paintings or other artworks by these artists are coming up for auction.
Currently I search a website that has on its database about 400-450 different auctions each week. It is called The-Saleroom.
In due course I am looking to automate this process but at the moment we are doing the search manually by simply entering each artist’s name into the database, hitting ENTER, and then seeing if that artist’s name comes up. If it does we then save the details to a ‘wish list’ on the website which retains full details.
Because we have been doing this for a while we can easily do 200 searches per hour – so that the whole process each week takes around 12 hours, spread over 2 days. At the beginning it might take a new person 15 hours by slowing the search rate down to 160 records per hour (absolute minimum).
