Alphabetical Short Story Archiving

I have a growing stack of printed short stories that are beginning to overrun my studio, and I need a meticulous archivist to turn the pile into a well-structured, easy-to-search collection. Every text is on paper only; there are no digital backups yet. Your mission is to transform these pages into clean digital files and arrange everything in strict alphabetical order—nothing thematic or chronological, just an A-to-Z flow that lets me find any title in seconds.

The work will involve careful handling of the originals, high-resolution scanning or photographing (whichever retains the most detail), light text-clean-up for legibility, and consistent file naming so the alphabetical structure holds up both in a local folder and inside any cataloging software you prefer to use (Calibre, Zotero, Obsidian—or simply a well-organized cloud drive).

Deliverables:
• A complete digital archive of every short story in PDF (and, if OCR is successful, an accessible TXT or DOCX layer)
• A master index spreadsheet listing title, author, year written (if noted), first line, and file path, all sorted alphabetically
• A brief read-me outlining your workflow and any recommendations for keeping the archive updated in the future
