Advanced Excel Audit & Optimization
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I need an Excel expert to review, verify, and potentially improve the advanced functions (e.g., ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY) in 2 to 5 of my existing spreadsheets. Your job includes:
- Inspecting and analyzing the existing functions for accuracy and efficiency
- Proposing or implementing necessary adjustments to optimize functionality
- Once changes are made, providing a clear explanation—either in writing or video format—on the changes applied and any suggestions to maintain or further improve the spreadsheet's performance
You should have a strong knack for identifying errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvements in complex Excel spreadsheets. An excellent command of advanced Excel formulas is essential. Ability to clearly communicate changes and recommendations is equally critical for this task, owing to the nature of the knowledge transfer requested at the project's end.
The attached spreadsheet will give you an idea of what I am trying to do with TEAMS of people who like to play the big lotto games like Powerball and Mega Millions. I must post the 16 numbers the TEAM plays for 15 consecutive Powerball drawings and the 16 numbers the TEAM plays for 10 consecutive Mega Millions drawings. I used the attached spreadsheet 10 years ago, but must change some of the parameters because the lotto games have made some changes.
As you can see on the attached, I post the Number Selections provided by the purchased lotto tickets. I use the "Advanced Play" feature offered by the lottery, so the numbers remain the same for the 15 PB draws and 10 MM draws over a 5-week Play Period. After each drawing, I place the winning number combinations at the top for that particular draw date and run a function that checks the number combinations for winners and then calculates the winnings, if any.
It gets a bit involved for me, but someone with Excel expertise should be able to help me get this up and running smoothly. My former accountant built this for me, but he has retired and I don't want to bother him with refining the spreadsheet... Thanks for your consideration
