South Africa Facial Data Collection

Job ID: 40469324

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m putting together an offline facial-image dataset that focuses on adult males and females in South Africa. To do this responsibly and efficiently I need a local partner—an established team already experienced in field-based image capture.

What I’m looking for
• You and your crew must operate inside South Africa, with the ability to travel whenever different urban or rural settings are required.
• The brief centres on gender representation, so every participant must be an adult (20+) and we need balanced numbers of men and women.
• Quality control is paramount: sharp focus, neutral and expressive poses, multiple angles, varied lighting (indoor, outdoor, low-light). Each image set should come with basic metadata (gender, age band, lighting condition, device used).
• All participants must give signed, verifiable consent that meets POPIA standards; you’ll store and hand over the paperwork alongside the files.

Deliverables
1. High-resolution JPEG or PNG image bundles organised by participant ID.
2. A corresponding CSV/JSON manifest containing the required metadata and consent reference.
3. A short collection report outlining locations, dates and any issues encountered.
4. A sample batch of 20 images submitted early for approval before full-scale collection begins.

I’ll supply the final shot list, consent forms and file-naming schema once we agree on timing. If your team already has cameras, lighting kits and a secure data-transfer workflow in place, we can get started right away. Let me know about your previous projects, turnaround time for a pilot phase and how you maintain quality in the field.
