Remote Indonesian Market Research Assistant
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My international trading firm is beginning a new round of market validation in Indonesia and I need a disciplined, analytical university student to act as a part-time Business Research & Liaison Assistant. The focus is split evenly between import and export opportunities, but the single most valuable outcome for me is solid, verifiable supplier information that I can act on with confidence.
You will work from home three to four days each week, roughly four to six hours per day. During that time you will:
• map the current landscape of Indonesian distributors, manufacturers, and other potential partners
• hold professional phone conversations in formal Bahasa Indonesia to gather first-hand insights
• draft clear, formal business emails that keep dialogue moving forward
• collect and organise pricing, capacity, and credibility data, turning it into concise weekly reports I can share with senior management
To succeed you should be an active university student—Business, Economics, or Management majors tend to excel—who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working without constant supervision. Confident phone etiquette and solid written Bahasa Indonesia are essential; English proficiency is a plus but secondary to flawless local communication.
There is no hard deadline on this project because the validation process will run until our questions are fully answered; think of it as ongoing work with performance-based incentives on top of competitive hourly pay.
