Field Survey: WhatsApp-Based Commerce Feasibility Study (India – 100 Interviews)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Overview:
We are conducting an on-ground field survey in Bengaluru, India to validate a WhatsApp-based conversational commerce platform designed for small neighborhood stores (locally known as Kirana stores) and daily consumers. The purpose of the study is to understand how both store owners and end-users currently buy/sell grocery, food, and essentials — and whether WhatsApp can be a viable, preferred interface for such transactions.
Survey Audience:
• 50 Kirana Store Owners (small street shops selling daily grocery items)
• 50 Consumers/End-Users
Kirana Store Criteria:
• Must be privately owned, non-franchise, non-government
• Small-scale shops with maximum 5 employees
• Must be convenience or grocery-focused
• At least 2 km distance between each interviewed shop
• Should represent typical day-to-day “Kiryana” setups (not modern retail or supermarkets)
Scope of Work:
1. Conduct 100 face-to-face interviews using our provided survey questionnaires (in English)
2. Translate or deliver questions in local languages (Hindi, Kannada, or regional) if necessary
3. Record all responses in a Google Form or Excel sheet
4. Capture photographic proof or short field notes for at least 80% of Kirana interviews
Deliverables Required:
• 100 completed survey responses (50 end-users + 50 Kirana owners)
• Raw response data (Excel or Google Sheet format)
• Field notes and/or photographic proof for validation
• Language-localized question delivery if applicable
Timeline:
Project must be completed within 10–14 days from the official start date.
In Your Proposal, Please Include:
1. A brief summary of your experience with field surveys in India
2. Any relevant past clients or projects (with samples if available)
3. Cities you or your team can cover (focus on Bengaluru for now)
4. Your estimated time to collect 100 responses
5. Your cost estimate (either flat project fee or per-response rate)
6. Tools you will use for data collection (e.g., Google Forms, mobile data app, Excel)
