Field Market Research Agent (Kenya / Tanzania / South Africa) – Home Textiles
Job Overview:
We are an Indian export company planning to enter African markets with home textile products such as:
- Terry Towels (bath, hand, face towels)
- Printed Bedsheets
- Comforters / Duvets
We are looking for serious local field agents based in Kenya, Tanzania, or South Africa to conduct detailed on-ground market research before our market entry.
Project Details:
- Duration: until task finished
- Payment: Fixed $80 – $100 (based on experience)
Scope of Work:
1. Market Visits
Visit shops / wholesalers / distributors in your city:
- Retail shops
- Wholesale markets
- Importers / distributors (if possible)
2. Product Analysis
Collect detailed information:
- Product types (towels, bedsheets, etc.)
- Fabric type (cotton / microfiber / blends if known)
- Price range (low / medium / premium)
- Best-selling SKUs
- Packaging style
- GSM awareness (if possible)
3. Competitor & Supply Insights
From discussions with sellers:
- Which country products dominate? (China, Turkey, India, Pakistan, etc.)
- Which price range sells most?
- Which products move fast vs slow?
- Customer buying behavior
4. Demand Understanding
Try to identify:
- What customers prefer (cheap vs quality)
- Seasonal demand (if any)
- Popular colors/designs
5. Proof of Work (Mandatory)
- Photos of shops and products
- Short videos (preferred)
- Real interaction evidence (optional but strong advantage)
6. Final Submission
- Filled report (Excel / Google Sheet – format will be provided)
- Photos & videos
- Detailed summary with insights (very important)
Requirements (Strict):
- Must be located in Kenya / Tanzania / South Africa
- Must be willing to visit markets physically (NO online research)
- Must speak with shop owners and collect real insights
- Must provide genuine data with proof (photos/videos)
- Basic English communication
