Data Collection for STR Hosts in Indiana

Job ID: 40576823

Budget: $10 – $50 USD

Job Title
Data Collection– Script‑based STR Host List, Paid Per Lead

Project Overview
I’m looking for a detail‑oriented assistant to help me build two lists of short‑term rental (STR) properties in central Indiana, USA. This is a data collection + light verification task, not high‑end lead generation. You’ll be paid per valid record (“lead”) you add.

What You’ll Do
You locate my ideal targets and follow simple rules to create two spreadsheets:

Self‑managed STR host list (main list)

Find short‑term rental properties (Airbnb/VRBO/ETC) in central Indiana (Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, etc.).

Identify listings that appear to be self‑managed by an individual host (not a big property management company).

Add each qualified listing to my Google Sheet / Notion database with:

Property title

Listing URL

City

Host name

Notes/flags (if anything in the description mentions management)

Big‑box / property‑management list (bonus list)

Collect listings in the same area that are clearly managed by big‑box or PM companies such as Evolve, Vacasa, Awning, or other branded managers.

Add each to a separate sheet with:

Property title

Listing URL

City

Company/manager name (Evolve/Vacasa/Awning/etc.)

You’ll mostly rely on the script to pull candidates, and then you’ll quickly check the host name and description to decide whether each listing belongs in the self‑managed list or the big‑box list.

Rules / Qualification Criteria
A listing counts as a qualified self‑managed host if:

It is an STR in central Indiana (Indianapolis metro and nearby cities).

The host appears to be an individual (normal first/last name).

The listing description does not say “managed by Evolve/Vacasa/Awning/Property Management Company” or similar.

A listing counts as a big‑box/PM listing if:

It is an STR in the same area.

The host name or description clearly shows a company or management brand (e.g., Evolve, Vacasa, Awning, “XYZ Property Management,” ).

I will review samples to confirm that you’re following the criteria correctly.

I will pay double if you include the property owner/host contact information for each entry. Must be valid information and will be checked.

Requirements

Ability to provide correct information for every entry

Strong attention to detail; able to follow written rules exactly.

Experience with Google Sheets or similar (basic data entry and organization).

Reliable internet connection.

Must be able to communicate with me without stressing me out. This means not sending message after message asking if I have reviewed the information, asking when I am paying, asking for a five star review. I will do all of this. I cannot do it within minutes. The info must be verified.

Basic English reading ability (to understand which listings are self‑managed vs big‑box managed).

Nice but not required:

Prior experience with data collection, scraping, or VA work.

Payment – Per Lead
This is per‑record/per‑lead pay, based on valid entries that meet the criteria:

Self‑managed STR hosts (main list)

$0.25 per qualified host added to the main sheet.

Initial cap: up to 200 hosts. STOP at 20 for verification and authorization to continue!

Big‑box/PM‑managed listings (bonus list)

$0.10 per qualified listing added to the bonus sheet.

Initial cap: up to 100 listings. STOP at 10 for verification and authorization to continue!

Example:

If you add 100 qualified self‑managed hosts and 50 big‑box listings:

Self‑managed: 100 × $0.25 = $25

Big‑box: 50 × $0.10 = $5

Total = $30 for the initial batch.

We can increase the caps and continue the work if quality is good.

How We’ll Work
I’ll provide:

Template Google Sheets / Notion structure.

Examples of what counts as self‑managed vs big‑box.

You’ll:

Send me a sample of the first 10–20 entries for review before continuing.

If you’re interested, please reply with:

Your experience with data entry or script‑based tasks.

Your approximate speed (records/hour) for similar work.

When you can start. Immediate start is the best!
