Cooking Oil Price Survey in Africa ghana

Job ID: 40142630

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I want a clear picture of how retail prices for cooking oils compare across the market right now. Your task is to gather current shelf or online prices for olive oil, canola oil, and sunflower oil sold in 500 ml, 1 L, and 5 L packs. Please cover a mix of national chains, local stores, and major online retailers so we capture the full spread of channels.

What I need from you:

• A well-structured spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets) listing supermarket name, channel type, date, brand, oil type, pack size, regular price, promo price if visible, unit price per litre, and any notes on discounts or availability.
• A concise analysis (about 500-700 words plus clear charts) that highlights average prices, lowest and highest price points, and patterns you notice—especially differences between channels or pack sizes.

You can obtain the data through legal web scraping, in-store audits, or a mix of both; just explain how you’ll keep the numbers accurate and up-to-date. Aim for at least five outlets per channel to give us a robust sample size.

Acceptance criteria
• Every requested oil type, pack size, and supermarket channel represented, with “N/A” clearly marked only where a product truly isn’t stocked.
• Clean, de-duplicated data and clear methodology notes.
• PDF or slide deck with at least one bar chart comparing average prices.

First draft of the raw data is due in one week, with the final analysis two days after that. Let me know how you’d approach the collection and verification so I’m confident we’ll get reliable insights.
