Coimbatore Traditional Slang Documentation

I want to create a lasting record of Coimbatore’s traditional slang strictly for language-documentation purposes. The task centers on gathering authentic terms still heard in streets, markets, and homes, before they disappear from everyday speech.

Scope
• Collect and verify a representative set of traditional slang words or phrases (aim for roughly 200–300, open to discussion).
• For each entry supply: term, phonetic spelling, literal meaning, contextual meaning, example sentence, and a short cultural note.
• Cite the source of every term—field interviews, local media, personal experience—so that future researchers can trace authenticity.
• Deliver the material in a clean, well-structured spreadsheet (Excel or CSV).

Acceptance Criteria
1. Entries are unquestionably from Coimbatore Tamil and not generic statewide slang.
2. Each term is cross-checked with at least two native speakers.
3. Spreadsheet fields are complete, consistently formatted, and free of typos.

If you already live in or have strong connections to Coimbatore the work will flow faster, but resourceful remote researchers are welcome as long as verification standards are met. A four-week turnaround from kickoff suits my schedule, yet I’m flexible if you can demonstrate the need for extra time to secure higher-quality data.
