Populate Business Directory Database

I’m ready to launch the directory section of my new platform and need every business listing fully populated. All raw data is already compiled, so your job is to load it accurately, verify its consistency, and make sure each record appears polished and complete before we go live.

Scope of work
• Create each listing in the “Business directory” area of the site.
• Enter and double-check the following for every business:
– Business name and address
– Contact information (phone, email, website, social links where provided)
– Business description and services offered
• Clean the dataset as you go—spot duplicates, standardise address formats, and flag any missing fields.
• Optimise text for readability (no keyword stuffing, just clear sentences), keeping line breaks and basic styling intact.
• Perform a quick visual QA in the front-end directory to ensure formatting, links, and special characters render correctly.

What I will supply
• Master spreadsheet and supporting docs with all business details
• Admin access to the platform (dashboard import tool plus manual entry option)
• Style guide for tone, layout, and category tagging

What I’d like to see in your application
• Past work that shows similar large-scale data entry or directory population—screenshots or live URLs are perfect.
• Brief notes on the methods or tools you prefer for bulk importing, validation, and deduping.

I’m looking for someone who is meticulous, comfortable handling thousands of records, and able to keep communication clear and proactive while we bring this directory to life.
