Customer Data Duplicate Cleansing
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I have a customer database that needs a focused round of data cleansing to remove duplicate records. The file will be shared as a CSV (or Excel, if you prefer) and contains the usual mix of names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses.
What I need from you:
• Identify and merge or remove every duplicate entry so each customer appears only once.
• Preserve all unique information—no data loss or accidental overwrites.
• Return a clean, well-formatted file ready for import back into our CRM.
A quick summary of my expectations:
– Rely on proven data-cleansing techniques and tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Power Query, or OpenRefine—whatever you are most efficient with.
– Document any assumptions or rules you apply (e.g., how you decide a record is a duplicate).
– Deliver the cleaned file plus a short log of the duplicates you resolved.
Turnaround is important, but accuracy comes first. If you notice other obvious issues such as missing or outdated fields while you work, flag them for me; we can consider an additional pass later.
