I have a YouTube playlist of roughly two-thousand videos that I want backed up in 720p. Each file should be named exactly by the video title so I can browse them alphabetically later. When everything is finished, copy the whole set onto an external hard drive; I will provide or reimburse the drive and shipping.
No extra metadata is necessary—just the videos themselves. If a specific clip is unavailable in 720p, please grab the highest native resolution under that mark rather than up-scaling, and jot its final resolution in a simple text log alongside any videos that prove region-blocked, deleted, or otherwise impossible to fetch.
A quick summary of the workflow I expect:
• Use a proven tool such as yt-dl, yt-dlp, or similar to pull the files in batch.
• Keep the original aspect ratio and container (MP4 preferred).
