Comprehensive Synology NAS Backup Setup
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I need my Synology NAS configured as a single hub that automatically protects every device and cloud space I use. The job splits into two clear goals:
1) Automated, versioned backups
• Computer and laptop data (documents, media and system images)
• On-premise server shares
• Mobile devices—photos and videos should upload wirelessly when the phone joins my home Wi-Fi
• Google Drive and Dropbox content mirrored locally
Hyper Backup, Active Backup for Business and Cloud Sync (DSM 7) should be orchestrated so the NAS runs these tasks on a schedule I can adjust later, with smart versioning and email or push notifications on failure.
2) Media off-loading & cloud library
I want the NAS to act as my personal “cloud Photos / Videos” vault, freeing space on the computers and phones while still letting me stream or browse everything remotely. Please enable transcoding where needed and set up secure external access (QuickConnect or reverse proxy with HTTPS certificate).
Acceptance criteria
• First full backup of each listed source completes successfully and is browsable.
• Incremental jobs trigger automatically thereafter without manual steps.
• Mobile photo upload tested on both iOS and Android.
• Media library visible through Synology Photos / Video Station and outside the LAN.
• Clear, written hand-off: job schedules, folder paths, and how to add new devices.
I will provide admin access to the NAS and the credentials for Google Drive and Dropbox - via realtime anydesk sharing only
