Job description:
Looking for only Belgium residents with Dutch speaking.

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to help design and implement a new interface that’s a legacy integration between critical operational systems. The architecture will be built using Kafka and Kafka Streams as part of an enterprise-wide modernization effort.
The architect will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside business analysts, designers, and developers, and will serve as a liaison to central architecture and integration teams. This role is crucial in delivering a solution that meets high standards for maintainability, scalability, and operational versatility.
The requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Architect in complex environments (minimum 5 years)
Kafka Streams expertise with hands-on implementation experience
Event-Driven Architecture design and development
Cloud & DevOps:
• Azure Kubernetes Services (minimum 2 years)
• Azure Cloud (minimum 4 years)
• Docker (minimum 4 years)
• Git and GitOps practices
• Azure DevOps
Data Modeling: Translating conceptual models into logical data models
The certifications:
• The Azure Fundamentals
• Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka
Language: Fluent Dutch (CEFR level C2)
And wishing:
Experience in Event Storm workshop facilitation
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
Willingness to work on-site at least 1 day a week; flexibility to adjust based on team needs
Availability for occasional out-of-hours work during critical phases such as releases
