Senior Data Architect $30 Hourly

I’m expanding our enterprise data landscape and need a veteran Data Architect who can own the full blueprint for a truly hybrid platform—one that blends on-prem assets with the flexibility of the cloud. Your designs will underpin a high-volume finance environment, so low-latency analytics, airtight data governance, and regulatory awareness come with the territory.
You’ll work remotely most of the time, jumping into on-site workshops when white-boarding with stakeholders or reviewing existing infrastructure makes more sense. Day to day, I’ll lean on you to document the target architecture, guide engineers through implementation best practices, and steer technology choices that keep us scalable for the next decade. Hands-on leadership is essential; this is not an advisory-only role.
Key outcomes I’m expecting:
• A comprehensive architecture document covering storage, integration, security, and lifecycle management for a hybrid platform
• A phased migration roadmap that minimises downtime and aligns with finance-sector compliance requirements
• Reference implementations (code, IaC templates, or both) proving the design in action
