Data Analytics Consulting Presentation
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
Case of an Engineering Company: A listed company who is a leading provider of engineering and infrastructure management services to a variety of industries employs more than 20,000 people in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. The CFO is concerned about the company’s many and varied enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) and whether they are accurately applying their logic to employee payments. The Facts: Based on the case study, please review the following situation and develop your presentation. Try to cover the problem holistically but remember the time limits! It’s up to you to decide the capability level that the client is starting from but try to be realistic in line with your experience of similar clients. Your client has engaged YOUR CONSULTING FIRM to assist in the development of an analytical solution to their business problems. During the engagement, your team will be developing an analytics solution that will assess the client’s current problem and provide recommendations on their implementation road map. In week one of the engagement, you are presenting the approach to senior client stakeholders including the buyer. Play to your own strengths but consider covering: - Scope definition detailing how analytics can align with business objectives - Why analytics is key to the engagement and how it can really add value to the client - What data would be needed - Timeline: how long would the analysis take - Resourcing: how many people are needed and what skills - Cost estimate. Considerations: - Do you want to cover just technical, just business, or a blended technical and business approach to your response? - Who are your key stakeholders likely to be? Detractors? Cheerleaders? - How would you communicate the benefits of your suggested approach and recommendations in a way that would resonate with the client sponsors? - What implementation challenges do you see in your recommendations? - There is no one right answer! Expect to engage in healthy debate about the why and the what. Outcome requires Power Point Presentation of no more than 5 slides, word or other files can be provided as supporting document for story telling. Things to consider: - Key themes and value proposition - Structure and story - What will be different and stand-out? - How do I inject my personal brand into the way I communicate?
