Visual Artist Opportunity Matching
Budget: $10 – $200 USD
I maintain a spreadsheet that pulls the newest exhibition calls, grants, residencies, and a handful of other career-building listings from leading art-world sites. What I need now is a clear, defensible pairing between those listings and the individual visual-artist profiles I manage.
Here’s the workflow I have in mind:
1. Review each artist’s profile (~20)—CV, medium, career stage, location, and past exhibition history are all noted in a shared folder.
2. Work through my master spreadsheet of opportunities (Excel/Google Sheets) and flag the listings that align with each artist’s medium, eligibility requirements, and timeline.
3. Compile the matches in a separate sheet: one tab per artist, with columns for opportunity name, link, deadline, and a short sentence explaining the fit.
Acceptance criteria
• Every artist on the roster receives at least ten well-suited opportunities (exhibition, grant, residency, or other).
• No expired or duplicate listings.
• The rationale column clearly references at least one fit factor (medium, location, career stage, or stated eligibility).
The spreadsheet is ready to share immediately, and all artist materials are neatly organized, so the task is focused on intelligent matching rather than data gathering.
