Vehicle & Contract Profitability Dashboard

I’m sitting on twelve months of repair and maintenance data in a single Excel file that lists every cost line-item for each vehicle, contract, spare part and sublet repair. What I need now is to turn these numbers into clear, actionable intelligence.

The job is to reshape the raw sheet into a model that highlights:
• total repair spend and cost trends through the year
• profitability by individual vehicle and by contract/project
• deep-dive views on spare-parts usage and sublet repair expenses

I’m looking for comprehensive insights, not just numbers. An interactive dashboard—Power BI, Tableau, or an advanced Excel workbook with slicers—should let me filter by project, vehicle or date range and instantly see which units and contracts earn money, which bleed cash, and why. Alongside the visuals, I expect a brief written summary that calls out the key findings and offers recommendations I can act on (e.g., vehicles to retire, contracts to renegotiate, parts to stock internally).
