I want to build a clear, evidence-based picture of how urban wastewater is entering our rivers and to quantify its impact. The project revolves entirely around data collection and analysis; awareness campaigns or high-level policy papers are outside this scope.

Here is what I need:

• Locate and catalogue every known urban wastewater discharge point along the target river stretch (public records, GIS layers, municipal reports, on-site observations—whatever is most efficient).
• Gather all available numeric datasets tied to those outfalls: flow rates, contaminant loads, temporal patterns, compliance records, and any recent changes in treatment performance.
• Clean, normalise, and combine those disparate sources into a single, well-structured spreadsheet/database that is ready for statistical exploration.
• Run basic descriptive statistics and geospatial visualisations that highlight hotspots, seasonality, and any correlations you detect.
• Deliver a concise technical report (max 20 pages) summarising methods, key findings, data limitations, and recommended next steps for deeper investigation.

Tools you are comfortable with—QGIS, ArcGIS, R, Python (pandas, geopandas), or Excel Power Query—should be mentioned when you respond so we can align workflows. All raw data, code notebooks or scripts, and the final report must be handed over at completion; reproducibility is non-negotiable.

If certain data gaps appear, flag them early and suggest pragmatic ways to fill them rather than forging ahead with incomplete information. Accuracy and transparency matter more to me than flashy graphics.
