I need a clean, user-friendly Excel workbook that lets me record every travel cost and instantly see how well I’m sticking to my budget. The core sheet should accept day-by-day entries—think accommodation, transport, meals, activities, and any custom line items I add—then roll everything up into running subtotals and an overall trip total.

Built-in formulas must calculate category totals automatically and flag overspending in real time. To turn the numbers into insight, I also want an at-a-glance dashboard sheet with clear charts and graphs: a pie chart that shows the percentage each category consumes, plus at least one line or bar chart tracking spending versus budget over the trip timeline.

Key points for the build:
