I need an experienced developer to create a social-media-focused Android application from the ground up. The end product should feel fast, modern, and intuitive on current Android versions.

At minimum, the first build must let users:
• register and sign in securely
• create simple posts with text and images
• view, like, and comment on a scrolling feed
• receive real-time push notifications for new interactions

I am comfortable if you work in Kotlin or Java; please develop in Android Studio and follow Material Design guidelines so the interface feels native. Using Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging) is fine, but I’m open to alternatives if you have a better stack in mind.

Deliverables
• Production-ready APK for testing on physical devices and emulators
• Complete, well-organised source code
• Brief setup/read-me so I can build and run the project locally

Once the core functions are stable, we can discuss additional features—private messaging, stories, or in-app analytics—so write your code with future expansion in mind.
