Responsibilities

Collect and compile import/export data for selected HS codes.

Identify top importing countries, import values, growth trends, and average prices.

Extract tariff and duty structures (MFN, preferential, FTA benefits) for those HS codes in selected markets.

Gather freight cost averages for key trade routes (India–EU, India–US, India–UAE) and standard insurance rates.

Track and summarize government notifications, schemes, and incentives related to the selected HS codes.

Enter all information into pre-defined Excel templates, ensuring clean formatting and update-ready structure.

Skills & Expertise

Strong background in trade data research, economics, or market analysis.

Familiarity with global trade data portals (UN Comtrade, ITC Trade Map, India Trade Portal, WTO tariff facility, DGFT).

Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (data cleaning, pivot tables, formatting).

Ability to interpret tariff schedules and government circulars.

Detail-oriented with experience in preparing structured datasets.

(Optional but preferred) Knowledge of data scraping or automation tools.

Market Demand (by HS code and country)

Tariffs & Duties (MFN and preferential)

Freight & Insurance (static rates)

Government Incentives/Notifications (summaries)

Short reference document listing data sources and refresh process.
