Trace Unauthorized Wi-Fi Intruder
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Someone has been piggy-backing on my home network. I have already caught two unfamiliar devices—both smartphones and computers—appearing on the router, and I saved their IP and MAC addresses. Right now I can still watch them reconnect, so the evidence is fresh.
I need a cybersecurity professional to analyse the data, tie the activity to a physical source (I strongly suspect the neighbour next door), and prepare a concise evidence package I can hand to the police. I’m not certain how to pull deeper router logs, so guidance there is part of the job.
Please use whatever combination of Wireshark, Kali, OSINT, or radio-frequency mapping you consider best. What matters is a defensible trail that shows:
• when and how the devices accessed my Wi-Fi
• confirmation the MAC addresses belong to those devices
• any correlation between the traffic and my own Google searches and downloads
• recommendations to secure the network permanently (new credentials, firmware checks, VLANs, etc.)
Deliverables: a written report, the raw packet captures or log extracts that back it up, and clear next steps for law enforcement.
If you’re confident you can trace the source cleanly and walk me through locking everything down, I’m ready to start right away.
