I have a set of plain-text records that need to be transferred accurately into a spreadsheet and then tidied up inside Excel. The first step is straightforward text data entry: copying each field exactly as provided, preserving capitalisation, punctuation and spacing so nothing is lost in translation.
Once everything is in place, I need the file professionally cleaned. That means removing stray spaces, unifying date or name formats, and spotting any obvious inconsistencies before they become a reporting problem. I’m not asking for deep statistical analysis—just a solid data-cleaning pass using familiar Excel tools such as Find & Replace, Trim, Text-to-Columns, and any lightweight formulas you rely on to catch duplicates or mis-entered values.
