Tanzania Plastic Bucket Pricing Study
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a clear, data-driven picture of how plastic buckets are priced throughout Tanzania. My focus is strictly on pricing trends, so elements such as brand perception or competitive positioning fall outside this brief.
What I want to see
• Average retail prices collected from supermarkets, hardware shops, open markets and any other high-volume outlets
• Current wholesale pricing quoted by major distributors and importers
• Noticeable price variations across regions (Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma, Zanzibar, etc.), ideally mapped or tabled for easy comparison
Preferred data-gathering approach
• Short, structured surveys or questionnaires administered to shop owners or floor managers
• Follow-up interviews with at least a handful of key retailers or distributors to validate and enrich the raw numbers
I’m happy to supply a simple survey template if that helps, but feel free to refine the instrument as long as the core questions stay intact. Raw data should be shared in Excel or Google Sheets, accompanied by a concise summary (PowerPoint or Word) highlighting patterns, anomalies and any seasonal or regional quirks you uncover.
Accuracy is paramount—spot checks and source notes are expected. If you already have proprietary datasets that cover some of this ground, you’re welcome to integrate them, provided the information is current (within the last 6 months) and clearly cited.
Deliver the spreadsheet, summary report and interview transcripts, and the project is complete.
