Sulawesi Tengah Community Tourism Research -- 2

Job ID: 39862494

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m commissioning a research-driven travel guide that puts community development at the heart of tourism in Sulawesi Tengah. I need a well-structured report that not only highlights where to go but also shows how visitors can support—and be welcomed by—local communities.

What I’m looking for
• Field-based research covering key districts, village cooperatives, cultural sites, and emerging eco-tourism spots
• Stakeholder insights drawn from interviews with community leaders, guides, homestay owners, and regional tourism officials
• Data-rich mapping or GIS screenshots that clearly locate attractions, infrastructure, and community resources
• An actionable set of recommendations for sustainable, community-led tourism growth (policy pointers, partnership models, funding opportunities)
• High-resolution photos or short video snippets that can be repurposed later for promotional materials
• A polished report (PDF + editable source, e.g., Word or InDesign) with an executive summary, methodology, main findings, and appendices for raw data

Scope & approach
Plan on combining desk research, field visits, and virtual or on-site interviews. I expect practical detail—transport links, seasonality, costs—as well as cultural context, environmental considerations, and success stories of existing community projects. Use reputable sources, cite references, and ensure all visuals are your own or cleared for use.

Timeline & collaboration
We’ll align on an outline before you begin field work, then touch base weekly via Zoom or WhatsApp. First draft due halfway for feedback; final report to follow incorporating revisions.

If you have hands-on experience with community-based tourism, local language skills, or previous work in Sulawesi, let me know in your proposal along with a brief plan and sample research.
