I’m expanding the Centre for Eastern Studies’ coverage of South Asia and need a part-time, remote researcher who can dig deep into the economic trends that define the region’s external relations. Your main mission is to transform raw numbers into clear, policy-relevant insight that will feed our reports and public commentary.
What the work looks like
You will track macro indicators, FDI flows, trade pacts and sector-specific data across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and beyond. Using tools such as Python, R, Stata or advanced Excel, you’ll clean and analyse datasets, visualise results, and distil the story behind the figures. I’ll involve you in joint data analysis projects with senior analysts, invite you to our online seminars, and ask you to co-author short commentaries or longer papers when time allows.
