I am looking for an experienced freelancer/researcher with expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Municipal Solid Waste Management to carry out a detailed analysis of a sustainable municipal solid waste treatment facility.
Scope of Work:
Conduct a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of a municipal solid waste treatment facility.
Analyze environmental impacts of different treatment processes such as:
Segregation and material recovery
Composting/biomethanation
Recycling
Incineration/Waste-to-Energy (if applicable)
Landfilling
Compare alternative waste treatment scenarios for sustainability.
Evaluate environmental indicators such as:
Global warming potential (carbon footprint)
Energy consumption
Resource recovery efficiency
Emissions and pollution impacts
Use suitable LCA software/tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA) if required.
Provide:
Detailed methodology
Data analysis and assumptions
Results with graphs/tables
Interpretation and recommendations
Final report in academic/research format
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in waste management, environmental engineering, or sustainability assessment
Prior work on LCA studies or research papers
Knowledge of municipal solid waste treatment systems
Deliverables:

Data analysis files/model (if applicable)
Graphs, charts, and interpretation
