Senior Data Analyst – Snowflake & Enterprise Analytics

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with deep experience in Snowflake and enterprise analytics to support system implementations, scalable reporting, and decision-making across the organization.
This role is designed for a senior individual contributor who can own analytics initiatives end-to-end—from understanding business questions to designing data models, building dashboards, and translating data into clear insights for leadership.
Phase 1 Focus
The initial phase of this role will support the implementation of a new HR and Payroll platform (Rippling), ensuring accurate data integration, validation, and reporting within Snowflake.
Phase 2 Focus
Following implementation, the role will expand into broader enterprise and departmental analytics, supporting operations, finance, and executive leadership.
What Success Looks Like
Phase 1: Systems Implementation & Data Integration
- Lead analytics work related to integrating HR and payroll data into the Snowflake data warehouse
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and validation across source systems and Snowflake
- Design, build, and deliver required dashboards and reports by system go-live
- Define and document data models, metrics, and reporting logic
- Respond to analytics and reporting requests within three business days
- Create clear documentation and SOPs to support long-term scalability
Phase 2: Enterprise & Departmental Analytics
- Partner with department leaders to define meaningful business questions and success metrics
- Design, build, and maintain Snowflake-based data models supporting KPIs and decision-making
- Develop executive-ready dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar BI tools
- Provide insights that support strategic planning and operational improvement
- Continuously improve data reliability, usability, and reporting efficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Design, extend, and maintain scalable data models in Snowflake
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics and reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for leadership and departments
- Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies across systems
- Translate technical data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Document analytics processes, data definitions, and reporting standards
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Data Scientist and cross-functional teams
- Support ad-hoc analytics requests while balancing long-term priorities
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling
- Experience integrating data from HR, Payroll, Finance, or enterprise systems
- Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar tools
- Proven ability to turn data into insights for business and leadership teams
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience with Rippling, Paylocity, Workday, or other HRIS/Payroll platforms
- Experience supporting system implementations or data migrations
- Background in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-location organizations
- Familiarity with analytics engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Python)
- Experience working remotely with U.S.-based teams
Work Arrangement
- Full-time equivalent (40 hours/week) independent contractor role
