Research Methodology Development & Statistical Analysis for Cybersecurity Impact Study

Job ID: 39983646

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I am seeking an experienced research analyst or statistician to develop the full research methodology and conduct comprehensive statistical analysis for a cybersecurity impact study using three different datasets related to cybersecurity breaches, financial performance, and cybersecurity investment/response strategies among small businesses.

Study the proposal but complete the methodology and analysis from the datasets.

The freelancer will be responsible for designing the analytical framework; cleaning, merging, and preparing the three datasets; and performing all required statistical tests—including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression modeling, ANOVA/MANOVA, predictive modeling, and any additional methods needed to address the research objectives. The final deliverables must include complete statistical outputs (tables, charts, model summaries, significance tests, and diagnostics), along with clear interpretation and narrative analysis explaining how the results answer the research questions on financial impact, investment effectiveness, and incident response outcomes.

The project also requires development of a predictive cost model estimating financial losses based on breach severity, investment level, and response time. A final, professionally written results report summarizing methodology, analyses, findings, and visualizations is expected. Applicants should have strong experience working with multi-dataset research, advanced statistical methods, and tools such as R, Python, SPSS, SAS, or Stata.
