Replicate Published Psychology Study Analyses

I have an Excel file containing new P and N scores that mirror the variables used in a published psychology study on emotional balance. Your task is to re-run the original analytic steps on my dataset and show whether the findings replicate.
What I need you to do in Excel
• Compute the emotional balance ratio for every case: P / (P + N).
• Rank-order these ratios.
• Calculate the mean ratio for each of the three predefined functioning levels, then build 95 % confidence intervals around those means, exactly as described in the paper.
• Determine whether each obtained CI falls within the predicted range and whether any CI overlaps an adjacent balance point.
• Present the results clearly in a single summary table (no charts required).
Deliverables
1. The updated Excel workbook with formulas, intermediate calculations, and final outputs.
2. A concise table summarising ranked ratios, group means, 95 % CIs, and a yes/no indication of hypothesis support for each level.
3. A brief note (one page or less) explaining the replication outcome and any discrepancies with the published study.
Acceptance criteria
• Formulas are transparent and editable in Excel.
• Confidence intervals match the method used in the original article.
• All numbers in the summary table reproduce when I refresh the sheet.
