QuickBooks Desktop Custom Sales Report

I run our books in QuickBooks Desktop and need a tailor-made sales report that zeroes-in on profitability. Specifically, I want to see the markup (in dollars and as a percentage) for every product sold, displayed under its respective sales rep. A built-in “Sales by Rep” or “Sales by Item” report doesn’t give me this margin view, so I’m looking for someone who can extend QuickBooks Desktop—whether through Advanced Reporting, the SDK, ODBC to Excel, or another proven method—to pull cost, price, markup and totals per rep.

Key needs
• One click inside QuickBooks (or a linked workbook) should generate a report that lists: Item, Quantity, Cost, Sales Price, $ Markup, % Markup, and running totals, grouped by sales rep.
• Date, rep, and item filters must behave like any native QB filter so we can isolate periods or teams.
• Output must be exportable to Excel without losing formulas or groupings.

Deliverables
1. Working custom report file or external utility fully compatible with our current QuickBooks Desktop build.
2. Clear deployment notes so I can reinstall it after an upgrade or on another workstation.
3. A brief screen-share hand-off to verify that the report reproduces the correct markup figures for several sample reps.

I’m ready to test with a copy of our company file as soon as you’re set up, and will sign off once the numbers match a manual reconciliation.
