I need a concise Python script that connects to AWS Athena, runs a set of predefined SQL queries against our financial data lake, and returns clean, well-structured results I can pivot on immediately in Excel or a BI tool. The workflow is straightforward: authenticate with AWS, call Athena, stream the query output to S3, pull it back into pandas, then apply a few lightweight transformations (currency normalization, date parsing, basic ratio calculations).
