Prostate Ultrasound Contouring Research Manuscript

Job ID: 40539685

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a collection of raw prostate-ultrasound DICOM files and need a complete, journal-ready research manuscript that demonstrates measurable improvements in contouring accuracy. The paper is intended for academic publication, so every section—from literature review to conclusion—must meet peer-review standards.

Here is what the project covers and what I will look for in the final hand-off:

• Literature review that summarises current prostate ultrasound segmentation techniques and their reported accuracy benchmarks.
• Problem statement, hypothesis and methodology focused specifically on boosting contour precision.
• Detailed description of the dataset (I will supply the raw DICOM images), the pre-processing pipeline, the contouring algorithm you refine or choose, and the accuracy metrics you apply (e.g., Dice coefficient, Hausdorff distance).
• Results section with properly formatted tables, high-resolution figures and statistical tests that validate any accuracy gains.
• Discussion, limitations and future-work sections that position the findings within existing research.
• Fully referenced abstract, keywords and conclusion ready for submission to a peer-reviewed imaging journal.

Feel free to work in LaTeX or Word, and use Python, MATLAB or any other reproducible toolset for the analysis; include the scripts or notebooks used so the workflow can be replicated.

Acceptance criteria
1. Manuscript adheres to the target journal’s author guidelines.
2. All claims are supported by statistically significant results (p < 0.05).
3. Figures are anonymised, captioned and publication-quality.
4. A brief companion document explains the processing pipeline and links to executable code.

Once we agree on the experimental plan, we can finalise milestones and timelines.
