Production Defect Root Analysis

Job ID: 40086104

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m seeking a specialist who can help me drive down defects on my production line by applying disciplined root cause analysis. My background is in both production and finance, so you’ll be working with someone who already understands process flows, cost structures, and the impact of scrap on the bottom line. What I need now is a fresh, methodical eye to pinpoint why certain defects keep slipping through and to design corrective actions that stick.

The focus is strictly on quality control for defect reduction—no broader process-optimization or supply-chain work at this stage. I’m looking for someone who can:
• Guide or refine our data-gathering approach so every potential cause is captured accurately.
• Run structured analyses—fishbone, 5 Whys, Pareto, whatever is most appropriate—to isolate the true root causes.
• Translate findings into clear, actionable countermeasures that my team can implement and track.

You’ll have full access to recent inspection reports, production dashboards and cost-of-quality figures. I can supply any additional financial context you need to quantify the savings a fix will deliver. The engagement wraps once we have a documented root-cause report and a prioritized action plan we both agree is achievable.

If you’re experienced in practical, shop-floor root cause work and can present conclusions in plain language backed by data, I’d love to collaborate.
